Thanksgiving In Colorado

We got to go to Zoo Lights at the Denver Zoo. You couldn't see many animals but the lights were lovely.

Almost all the grandkids. Missing one who was home sick.

This has been the fist time in (I think) 11 years that all of J's siblings have been together at the same time.
 L LOVED this python.
They both loved the turtles.

Birthday Boy

L had a birthday at the beginning of the month. We celebrated with cupcakes and presents at home. Halloween was the day before so we were all exhausted. I felt guilty making cupcakes because sugar was not something we were needing in our diet at the time but it was my boy's birthday so what are you gonna do? L loved blowing out his canldes and didn't need any help getting them out. He also attacked his presents and tore the paper off like a baby tiger. That's my boy.
He is such a sweetheart of a kid! I am so lucky to call him mine. He is always laughing and getting everyone to laugh along with him. He hugs and kisses us all of the time and says thank you when I get him things, when I change him, basically for everything. That is one of my favorite things about him because he makes me feel appreciated and he is only 2! Happy Birthday to my little gentleman!

Trick or Treat

We Booed at the Zoo, we did a play group costume parade, a preschool carnival, and a work costume party, then we topped it off with some trunk or treating followed by a nice door to door trick or treat (which is always the favorite). I am officially done with Halloween. I even tore down my decorations without procrastinating for my usual week or so.
When my kids grow up they probably won't remember all of this, but I LOVE seeing them have fun. They are both at an age where every holiday is magical.
L got the hang of trick or treating very quickly, he knocked on doors, said trick or treat and always said thank you. Apparently, I didn't raise my 2 year old to be impolite, at least not to strangers.

Boo at the Zoo Season 3

Has it been a whole year again? Here is our annual Boo at the Zoo post. Enjoy.

Before L realized there was candy involved with wearing his costume, he was not a fan.
