The kids were getting such cabin fever this winter and then came some spring and not a minute too soon. L pounds at the back door and says "go!". He even gets my purse and keys. R used to do that when she was his age, but instead of pounding the door she would kiss it and hope it would open for her.
R said something that I thought was pretty funny and clever at the same time.
"Today has bad weather, so that's why I say the weather is a piece of garbage. Tomorrow is going to have good weather, so tomorrow I will say the weather is a beautiful butterfly."
All of her teachers tell me that she is a little jokester. I agree. She loves to tease and joke with people, but only after she gets to know you a bit first. We packed J an April Fool's lunch for tomorrow and she came up with all of the pranks while we were at the grocery store. We stuck a gummy worm in his apple, put fruit snacks in his ham sandwich and replaced Sunchips with carrots (we closed the bag back up with hot glue). J is going to be especially mad at that last one because I never buy chips, he will think I am finally giving in. Ha Ha. I wish I could be there to watch.
This is a classic
L look. It means leave me alone (he didn't want his picture taken anymore). He reminds me of my Grandpa Frank. He used to make a very similar face.
