Springtime

We have been getting a lot of spring flowers popping up. They grow really randomly all over our front and back yard. One of these years I am going to dig up the bulbs and plant them in a way that makes sense, but they come and go pretty quickly because spring is so short lived here. It feels like we go from snow to the 90 degree weather of summer without much of the nice in between weather. Our poor flowers got covered by snow today. R has taken a huge interest in watering and picking the flowers, she checks on them everyday and decides which ones need pickin'. Then she gives them away.
J is almost done busy season. 15 more days of coming home from work in the middle of the night, not that we are counting. It has been nice to have my sister around to keep me sane.
R can't wait for Easter, but what she is really excited for is her birthday. We are going to throw her two parties. One for her grandparent's visit, who are coming for my brother in law's graduation from college and the other for when my mom comes at the end of April.

New Shades

R picked out some glittery, purple (her fave color) sunglasses at the mall and thinks that she is the cat's pajamas in them. Here she is with her model pose. We went to a playground after buying them and all the other little girls surrounded her saying that she looked "cool". She wouldn't take them off even though we were in an indoor playground and she could barely see. What a goof.

Museum

I finally got around to getting a year pass to the children's museum and I have been taking her nearly everyday lately. She runs around like she owns the place now. Here are a few pictures of her adventures there.

L just had his 4 month check up and he weighs in at 16 lbs 14 oz. Needless to say, he has no trouble growing. He is such a cutie and loves to talk, laugh and squeal. When he is awake and not eating, he is constantly chattering. He sleeps through the night and has been doing so since he was 2 months. I couldn't ask for a cuter little teddy bear than this boy.

Go Canada!

I didn't watch much of the Olympics, but I did catch the last hockey game. I got out our most Canadian clothes and dressed the kids up to root on their mommy's native country. My husband was rooting for the U.S. and to be honest that is mostly why I got R to root for Canada, it was pretty funny. I taught her to say "U.S.A. is going down." and "Canada is going to win, Daddy!" It was pretty cute.
