Ghibli Pumpkin

Every year R has me paint a character pumpkin.

Our first year of doing this was Brobee, last year was Totoro and this year she chose another Studio Ghibli character, Ponyo.

A Lovely Fall

October is my favorite month and it has been a gorgeous fall this year. It makes me sad that it won't last. Le Sigh.
Here are some pictures of a favorite fall outing.....the pumpkin patch.

Above are the only pictures of our Canadian Thanksgiving this year. It was a busy day and we didn't end up eating until 8:00. But food tastes just as good when you are tired, right?

Field Trippin'

R's preschool went to Blac*k Island Farm for her very first field trip earlier this month. What a cute place it was with lots to do. They went on a hay ride and picked out their own pumpkin. R wanted one that was a pretty yellow color. Why? Because it was different and nobody else wanted it. She is a bit of a bleeding heart, even for a left out pumpkin. 

The sad news about this place is that the state is forcing them to close up shop. There will be a highway built right through their fields in a year or two. 

I also have a funny R quote. "Why does daddy drink root beard? It sounds really gross."
