1936

I found a picture that I wanted to post. It is of the construction of the high school we live by in 1936 and in the background you can see my house. It is the one to the left of the vertical striped tudor style. It seems like our sycamore was around even then and it wasn't a sapling, you can see it behind our house, it is the tallest tree in the picture. J and I laughed at this photo because not much has changed. Especially when you consider that the high school is currently undergoing a major renovation and has mounds of dirt piled up and construction workers walking around. It is interesting to think that all of the houses on this street had only been around for about a decade then. I love this neighborhood, it really has stayed true to it's roots.

I love June!

I got to celebrate turning 28 this month, it was a happy day and I got spoiled with treats. I don't think that I am old enough to start dreading birthdays, it won't make you any younger to hate getting older.
We also had the chance to go to J's cousin's wedding. We stayed with R during the ceremony and went to the reception. R loved playing outside the whole day, rain and all. She refused to wear her shoes halfway through the day because they got wet. She would tear them off and yell "eeeewww". Luckily it was still a very warm day with warm rain. J's parents came to visit for a few days for the wedding and got some good bonding time in with their favorite (and currently only) granddaughter.
Oh, and we are having a boy!This is what R chose to wear to the wedding, my thick wool socks and her undies.
