We are doing well lately. I have been taking a cake decorating class, and hanging out with some girls from the neighborhood. I went to see Funny Girl which was put on by high school students. I mainly went because I have been dying to see what the school is like inside. It was built in 1930 (I think), as a government project during the depression to give jobs to artists in the area. It is completely art deco and looks amazing on the outside. The inside is pretty interesting too, especially the auditorium (that was fabulous). They have been working on remodeling the school and were going to change the auditorium so I am glad that I got to see it in it's original form.
J isn't up to much lately and that is how he likes it. He is going to start his busy season soon and will work those wonderful 60-80 hour weeks, but his firm isn't as bad as some other CPA firms. When he was in New York City, he only came home to sleep for a few hours each night and worked the rest of the time (except Sundays). He is also working away at my honey do list for jobs around the house before he leaves me as his tax widow. We finally put blinds in the basement! That was one I was hinting at for a while. My sister is coming to visit and will be staying in the guest room down there and I thought she could use some privacy and that was what got the job done, so thanks Jenny!
I am really excited for my little sis to come. I don't get to see her very often and she is a sweetheart to have around. She will be here for a couple of weeks.
R just went through her first growth spurt in a long time. She had weighed 20lbs from when she was 12 months old until she was almost 20 months old and now she weighs in at a whopping 24lbs! (at 21 months old) She is still a rascal. She still loves to dance and sing and she loves, loves, loves to play the drums and keep a beat on anything that remotely resembles a drum. She is picking up new words everyday and recently pooped in her potty for the first time. She hasn't done anything since though, she is going through a bit of a rebellious stage and is using the potty to show me who's boss. Oh well, I am sure she will come back to it eventually.
